Biography
Noah Cavalleria was given up for adoption by a 16-year-old girl who was named Marina Cavalleria, whose boyfriend had had no acknowledgment of her even being pregnant. In fact, he told her she had to deal with it on her own, since it "wasn't his problem." He was adopted by a couple who definitely didn't look much like him; a freckled, redheaded mother, Alice, and a blonde, blue-eyed father, Mark. They decided to keep Noah's name the same, despite the confusion here and there with people when they were registering him for school. He always knew he was adopted, and never minded that fact. His parents provided well for him, made a good enough amount of money to travel a lot during the summers and Noah was almost never at want for anything, though they weren't exactly rich.

School was never a party time for Noah, in fact he hardly ever did more than study and homework after school after he got into junior high school. His parents definitely encouraged it, but he was never pushed into that lifestyle, it was just something he started to do on his own. Getting good grades felt like an enormous achievement, and he was starting to be told that he could really go places if he kept it up, so he did. This made it to where friends were few and far between, but the ones he did have, he was close to.

High school was no different, and he started to get picked on here and there. Certain friends would back him up, but thankfully he never really got to the point where anyone punched him. When he started to take French, he started to really like the language and the fact that he could learn it easily. He took it throughout high school and excelled in it, as well as many of the other subjects. He got nearly completely straight-A's, but his social life suffered most of the time because of it. It was only really during the summer that he had good friendships, or even flings, which consisted of boys. He knew from the time he was ten that he was gay, he just kept it quiet until he felt confident and comfortable enough to start flirting. Senior year he crammed for SAT's as much as he could, got good scores on them, and also finished off fourth in his class. He didn't mind not being Valedictorian or Salutatorian, because he found out he'd gotten accepted to the University of Texas at Austin on almost a full scholarship, thanks to having been adopted, being hispanic, and his grades were at a 4.1 GPA.

In college he kept learning French and started taking Spanish, and worked on a degree for Education as well as a minor in Journalism, because he'd always had an affinity for writing. He also spent a semester abroad in Italy in his sophomore year, which put his debt in a bigger hole, but he always felt that it was worth it. As a gift for his 21st birthday, his parents paid off most of his student loans, using a savings account that they had been building since he was a baby.

Once he got his bachelor's, he found out that there were programs in which you could teach English abroad. He found a program for one in France, in which room and board was paid for, and he would get a $4,000/month salary on top of it. Deciding he wanted to go for it, he did, and he didn't spend a ton of his salary so that he could save it to finish off his student loans by the time he got home. The program was a year long, and he had a fantastic time, and was able to pay off the remainder of his student loans, and had money to spare.

After getting back to Texas, he started job hunting and found an inexpensive apartment, with enough money to keep him alive and fairly healthy for about six months. He started to look for a job, and got one as a substitute teacher for Austin Public School District, where he would be working while he finishes getting his Master's and gets his teaching certification. The salary isn't big, but it gives him time when he doesn't have to work so that he can keep working on his education.

Storylines
[info]adestiny Noah's cousin Emily had a friend, Alexander, who was Noah's first crush on a boy. He never told Emily about it but she had always noticed how quiet Noah would get around Alexander until after Noah came out. He's still secretly infatuated with him and he admires him from afar, though he thinks he'd be nowhere near good enough for the guy, which is his biggest excuse for not 'fessing up.

[open/female] Noah is two years younger than his cousin Emily, and since their mothers spent so much time together, the two of them became friends and then very close once they were teenagers. She's the first person Noah came out to, and someone who has always tried to be protective of him because of his sexuality. They still hang out as much as possible, text or call each other about every day, and almost have a secret language between the two of them.

[open/male] Noah's ex-boyfriend, whom he had in college up until he left to study abroad. The two of them broke up while Noah was gone, having not been able to quite pull off the long-distance relationship.
